Remote, virtual healthcare which allows you to overcome distance and time constraints, while still receiving the highest quality healthcare from the comfort of your own home. It allows long-distance client and provider contact, care, advice, reminders, education, intervention, monitoring, and remote admissions.
It depends on your insurance. We do not file with insurance, but upon your request we can provide you with the paperwork you need to pass onto your insurance company.
All sessions with Healing Streams are conducted via HIPAA compliant Zoom sessions, or telephone calls. Therefore, your remote sessions (along with your Protected Health Information/PHI) are completely private and confidential. You may choose to include family members or guests in your session; but only our practitioner will be present on our side. Your visit is NOT saved or videotaped for future reference.
Anyone who's health can improve can benefit from our help. We will work with your to figure out the best way to to integrate our multifaceted care into your current health and wellness practices.
We truly want to help you. However, due to HIPAA and other regulations, we cannot advise, suggest or recommend anything, to anyone, not even in broad or general terms, until we have completed a full health intake on you. Too many factors come into play when choosing therapies and supplements. People with certain conditions, or who are on certain medications or other supplements, must be cautious when adding to or taking away from their regime. It's extremely dangerous to give broad & general advice, not knowing a person's health history. For example, turmeric is a well-known and common spice/seasoning people put in their food and take in supplement form on a daily basis for inflammation, but that doesn't mean it's safe for everyone. Turmeric can be extremely hard on the kidneys. Therefore, it could be deadly to someone with renal insufficiencies!
As practitioners, we take an oath to "first do no harm". Therefore, please understand it's against the law to advise, suggest or recommend anything, until we've had a session with you.
AFTER you complete our program YES you may book single sessions with us, where we continue to monitor your progress and address your ongoing needs. However, we specialize in getting down to the root cause of your chronic health issues, which is impossible to do in a single session, or even two or three! Your current health condition is the sum total of all the biochemical reactions that have occurred due to the decisions you have made about your health and the exposures you have encountered during your lifetime. Those things can NOT be fully addressed without committing to our “20-Weeks of Transformation, Metabolic Code® Continuous Improvement” Program. Therefore, single sessions, prior to completing our program, would be dis-service to our you!
Unfortunately, there is something called "cyber terrorists" who book fake appointments and then never pay or show up. Obviously, we can't stay in business with a full schedule of fakes. Therefore, we need to know we have legitimate client bookings filling our time. The only way to do that in this "new normal" world, is to receive payment in advance. We thank you for understanding :)
You have 3 ways to pay securely through PayPal, 2 of which allows “interest-free” payments, which we sahre with you during your application interview. We do not have the manpower to offer in-house financing and if we did we would have to charge more for our programs (to cover our costs).
Although it is an important factor to be considered, the number ONE priority when selecting a healthcare/wellness professional should NEVER be cost. An individual must first find a practitioner who provides the type of care desired and needed. ie: If we are not a good fit for the care you're seeking, it wouldn't matter if our program was free. On the other hand, if we are the perfect fit for you, then we do everything within our power to make our program affordable for you.
Most definitely, YES!
Blood tests are optional, but still highly recommended, which is why we offer them to our clients at our (wholesale) cost. We don't make any money on lab tests. They are however, extremely helpful in enabling us to see the WHOLE picture as to what's going on with your health. Although the other tests, which we include in our program, give us a great deal to work with, they are only 2 legs of a 3 legged stool. Blood tests detect excesses and deficiencies in your system, that enable us to make precise nutritional & supplementation recommendations, so we're not flying blind.
Similar to Functional Medicine, Alternative Medicine, aka Natural Medicine or Complementary Medicine, is a distinct system of primary health care, which emphasizes prevention and increasing vitality, through the use of ‘research-based’ and ‘time-tested’ natural approaches. The focus is to identify the underlying causes of disease. Therapeutic methods may include nutrition, botanical/herbal medicine, homeopathy, counseling and/or pain management, along with referring for integration of conventional approaches if needed.
Integrative Medicine is a form of health therapy that combines practices and treatments from Alternative Medicine, Natural Medicine and Functional Medicine, with Conventional Medicine.
Similar to Alternative Medicine and Natural Medicine, Functional Medicine is care given based on the system affected, not the condition diagnosed. For example, a diagnosis of depression may have multiple causes. A Functional Medicine provider will research each cause, leading to a personalized care approach.
Applying Holistic Medicines in health therapy means caring for the whole person. It is tending to your physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs, being aware of how all these aspects affect your overall health. Therefore, it incorporates Alternative Medicine, Natural Medicine and Functional Medicine practices.
